When I started at the News Tribune, our site was still Tribnet.com, a fairly static site that served as an online version of the print product with very few interactive or multimedia offerings. After six years of experimentation, redesign and gallons of coffee, the site now includes constantly updated Web-first news, user-generated content, videos, audio slideshows, blog headlines and more striking visuals.
While I can’t take all of the credit for that huge leap forward, I am proud to say I have been an integral part of the process. I’ve lead and implemented most of our redesign efforts and am constantly working to improve site usability while still providing timely, interactive content.
